ANXIETY

This may include difficulties such as worry, general anxiety, panic, specific phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive behaviours, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), such as hypervigilance, flashbacks and/or nightmares. 

DEPRESSION

People may notice a sense of loss of interest or pleasure, low mood, irritability, changed appetite or sleep patterns, difficulties concentrating, sense of failure, hopelessness, thoughts of suicide.

STRESS

People may experience a general sense of overwhelm, feeling unmotivated, have difficulty concentrating and remembering things.
This may also be relevant to specific life events or adjusting to transitions, such as changes in circumstances or roles.

EATING DISTRESS

People may notice feeling uneasy or anxious around food, have secretive behaviours (such as eating in secret or secretly trying to avoid eating), have difficulty maintaining a balanced diet, have a negative perception of their body image and themselves more generally.

PAIN AND LONG-TERM HEALTH CONDITIONS

Helping people manage chronic pain or health conditions in terms of day-to-day living, helping manage the impact of living with chronic health conditions on mental health and wellbeing.

RELATIONSHIPS

This may include help with conflict or communication difficulties in relationships, infidelity, intimacy, divorce and breaking up.

ANGER

This may include having difficulties managing anger and frustration, angry outbursts or aggression. 

SLEEP PROBLEMS

These may include difficulties maintaining a healthy sleep pattern, insomnia, nightmares.

TRAUMA AND PTSD

PTSD may affect anyone who has experienced trauma. This could be a single or multiple events that cause someone to feel fear, horror or helplessness in response to threat of harm or death. Symptoms of PTSD include flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, panic attacks, feeling numb or experiencing intense anger or fear.

OTHER ISSUES

Someone may have a general sense of not feeling like themselves, feeling like something is wrong but not feeling sure why this is, feel stuck or have difficulty changing habits and working towards their goals effectively.
